California Leading the Way |
The Youth and Government Program Alliance (YGPA) comprises programs like ours from around the country. It serves as a cohort of professionals to share best practices and seek support. This spring, our very own Madison Farricker was elected to serve on the YGPA Council.
Madison has been active in the YGPA for some time and was co-chair of this year's Youth Governors Conference which was held in Washington D.C. in June. Madison will serve as National Program Specialist, taking on a key role in bringing back the Youth Governors Association, which provides networking and collaboration opportunities to all of the Youth Governors through their presiding year. Congratulations and thank you, Madison! |

Heading into our third in-person program year, we are strategically growing and developing our Board of Managers, focusing on fund development for increased access and equity in underserved areas. We are fortunate that such outstanding individuals have chosen to join our cause and are dedicated to Y&G's sustainability and impact for years to come. |

Delegate Advisory Committee |
The Delegate Advisory Committee (DAC) is a statewide advisory body that works to promote delegate engagement and Y&G spirit. Composed of delegates from across the state who represent a diverse set of backgrounds and geographic locations, the DAC provides delegates with resources and knowledge to be successful both in and out of the program. In addition to hosting Karaoke and other social events at conferences, the DAC, in collaboration with Youth Board of Managers Members, partners with local communities and nonprofits to engage MLC delegates in various statewide social initiatives. |
